Terms of service

What Big Cat does. You give us a design you love (a screenshot, image, PDF or link), your own words and your own photos. We build your website: inspired by the feeling of that design, never a copy of it.

Your content, your responsibility. You confirm you own, or have the rights to, the words and photos you add. The design you share is used only for its feeling (colours, mood, spacing); we never copy its text, pictures, logo, exact fonts or exact layout, even if asked. You alone are responsible for everything on your site: your words, your photos, your links and your offers. (NEW 2026-10-29, for approval)

If someone makes a claim because of your content. If you use Big Cat for your business, you cover Big Cat for any claim, fine or cost (including reasonable lawyer's fees) that comes from your content or from your breaking these rules. If you are a consumer, you are responsible for harm your content causes, as the law provides. Neither applies to harm caused by our own fault. (NEW 2026-10-29, for approval)

Not allowed. Anything illegal, including: anything that sexualises or endangers children, weapons, drugs, fraud, scams, hate or harassment, terrorism or violent extremism, human trafficking, stolen goods or data, someone else's private data, malware or hacking, unlicensed gambling, animal cruelty, and content that copies someone else's work or brand. And, even where it is legal: adult or sexual content of any kind (pornography, sexual services, nudity meant to arouse, or links to them). Big Cat hosts none of it. (NEW 2026-10-29, for approval)

The safety check. An automatic check reads your site's words and the photos you upload: when you upload a photo, before a site or a change goes live, and every 3 days while your site is online. Our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), runs it for us, and Google Web Risk checks the links on your site against its list of dangerous pages. Each check gives one of three answers: fine, held for a quick look by a person at Big Cat, or blocked. Suspected child sexual abuse material is blocked at once and never shown to anyone, the account is held, and a person at Big Cat reports it to the authorities (in France: PHAROS, internet-signalement.gouv.fr). We also use Cloudflare's tool, which compares photos on published sites with known child-abuse images and reports any match. A person, never the check alone, decides before we close an account. What we can do. If content breaks the law or these terms, we can refuse to publish it, hold it, remove it, take the site offline, limit or suspend your account, close it, and report it to the authorities. If your site is already online and the problem is serious (anything that endangers children, fraud or scams, dangerous links, or a threat to someone's life or safety), we take it offline at once, without notice. Otherwise, we email you first: if it is not fixed within 7 days, the site goes offline, unless a person at Big Cat has looked and allowed it. Taking a site offline deletes nothing: your site, words and photos stay in your account. If we end your plan for this reason, nothing more is charged and we refund the days you paid for and did not use. (NEW 2026-10-29, for approval)

We tell you why, and you can contest. When we refuse, hold, remove or limit your content, or suspend or close your account, we email you: what we did, why (which law or which rule in these terms), the facts behind it, whether an automatic check found or decided it, and how to contest. To contest, reply to that email or write to contact@bigcat.website within 6 months: a person looks at it again and answers you within 14 days. You can also go to court. The only exceptions: suspected child sexual abuse material, and whenever the law or the authorities tell us not to inform you (for example during a police investigation). Quality and approval. Every site goes through an independent quality check before it can go live, and nothing goes live until you approve that exact version.

Who you buy from. Big Cat is a service of Aliya Akhmetkereeva EI (sole trader), SIRET 819 472 242 00034. Contact: contact@bigcat.website. Full details: Legal notice. You can buy as a private person or as a business.

Free trial. 7 days free, no card needed. Nothing is charged automatically after the trial: to keep building and publishing, you choose a plan.

Price. Website Cat: €12 a month, or €60 every 6 months. These are final prices: VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French tax code. You pay through Stripe (card or another method shown at checkout). Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If you're a consumer on the 6-month plan, we email you between 3 months and 1 month before it renews, with the last day to cancel.

Cancel any time, online. In My account, "Cancel my plan" opens Stripe's secure page, where you cancel in a few clicks, with no reason needed. We confirm it by email. Your site stays online until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged.

14 days to change your mind. If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to withdraw, without giving a reason. At checkout you ask us to start right away, so if you withdraw within those 14 days, we refund what you paid minus the days you already used. To withdraw, just tell us clearly: an email to contact@bigcat.website, a letter to the address in the Legal notice, or the form below. Cancelling your plan only stops the next payment: to get the refund, tell us you withdraw. We refund within 14 days of your message, to the same payment method, at no cost to you.

Legal guarantee of conformity. If you're a consumer, the law guarantees that Big Cat matches what we describe and works as it should, for as long as your plan runs (art. L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code). If it doesn't, tell us: we put it right free of charge, within a reasonable time. If we can't or don't, you can get a lower price, or end your plan and get back what you paid for the time it didn't work. While your plan runs, you don't have to prove the problem was there from the start.

If a payment fails. Stripe tries again over the next days. Until the payment goes through, building and the cat designer pause; your site stays saved.

Your site is yours. You can download it or delete everything at any time.

Availability. We aim for your site to be online all the time, but can't promise 100%. If you use Big Cat for your business, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. If you're a consumer, this limit doesn't apply: the law protects you in full.

If you buy as a business. The 14 days to change your mind are for consumers only. If a payment is late, late-payment penalties at three times the French legal interest rate apply from the due date, plus a fixed €40 fee for recovery costs (art. L441-10 and D441-5 of the French Commercial Code).

The cat designer is an AI. When you chat with the cat designer, you're talking to an AI (Claude, made by Anthropic), not a person. The words Big Cat writes for you are written with AI too.

AI help. Your free first look is written with AI. In your account, the cat designer and AI words work only while "AI help" is on. AI suggestions can be wrong: check every fact, price and promise before you publish. Nothing goes live without your approval. (NEW 2026-10-02, for approval)

Reporting content (EU Digital Services Act). Anyone can report content on a site hosted by Big Cat at bigcat.website/report. We confirm with a reference number, review it quickly and carefully, and tell the person our decision. If we remove or limit your content, we tell you why and how to contest the decision. Our single point of contact for users and authorities is contact@bigcat.website (English or French). (NEW 2026-10-02, for approval)

Big Cat hosts, you publish. For what you add and publish, Big Cat is a host: we store it and show it. We do everything we reasonably can to keep illegal content off Big Cat, but no check is perfect. A check that lets content through does not mean we have read it, approved it or vouch for it. As French and EU law provide, we are not responsible for illegal content we don't know about; as soon as we learn of it (through a report, the authorities or our own checks), we act quickly to remove it or block access to it. Helpers, not advice. The legal-page helper is guidance, not legal advice: you stay responsible for your details. All example sites shown on Big Cat are fictional. (NEW 2026-10-02, for approval)

Age. You must be 18 or over to use Big Cat.

Changes. If these terms change, we email you at least 30 days before, and you accept the new version the next time you sign in. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.

Law and disagreements. French law. If something goes wrong, write to contact@bigcat.website first and we look for a solution together. If we can't agree, a consumer can go, free of charge, to our consumer mediator: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, www.cm2c.net (within 1 year of writing to us). Consumers also keep the protection of the laws of their own country and can go to their local court.
