Ok so. Wix was my first website builder. My very first one.
Aliya, October 2026.
And for me it was too clunky. So many menus. I want to change one little thing and I'm looking for it forever.
And the bugs. I move something, it goes back. I move it again, it goes back. Every time. I still don't know why lol.
And it was way too expensive for what I needed. I'm a tired mom, I needed one website. That's it.
So I left.
I tried different ones after. Everything was a little bit constricting, like I'm in somebody else box. Then Showit, which I loved, but that's another story (it's here).
My own website took me six months. Six months!!
Now I use Big Cat. Yes it's mine, so I'm biased, I know.
I paste a site I love, or a screenshot, or my Pinterest board, and it makes my site with that feeling. My words, my photos. It doesn't copy the other site. The phone version is done by itself. I move things myself, or I just ask the cat.
First time I saw it working I felt like I want to cry. Finally.
A lot of people love Wix and it works for them, and that's great. For me it didn't.

Questions people ask
Why did you leave Wix?
For me it was clunky, the things I moved kept going back, and it was too expensive for one website.
Can I move my Wix site to Big Cat?
Not with one button. But you can paste your Wix site as the design you love, and Big Cat makes a new one with that feeling, with your words and photos.
Does Big Cat make the phone version?
Yes, by itself. You don't design it again for the phone.
