Why I never chose Squarespace

I never really used Squarespace.

Aliya, October 2026.

I looked at it so many times. Opened the templates, scrolled, dreamed a little bit. Closed the tab.

Because it's amazing. Absolutely amazing. So elegant.

But it was always too expensive for me. One website, for such a big price. Same thing that bothered me with Showit.

When you're a mom with small business, you count. And every time I counted, no.

So I went other ways. Wix first (here), then Showit (and here), and some simple sites on a really cheap one.

What I wanted was the elegance, and the freedom, and the phone version done for me, and a price that makes sense for one website.

Now I use Big Cat. Yes it's mine, so I'm biased.

I paste a site I love, a screenshot, or my Pinterest board, and it makes my site with that feeling. My words, my photos. It doesn't copy the other site.

Questions people ask

Did you use Squarespace before Big Cat?

Not really. I looked at it many times, but for one website it was always too expensive for me.

What's the difference between Squarespace and Big Cat?

Squarespace starts from its templates or a blank page. Big Cat starts from a design you love, any site, screenshot or Pinterest board, and makes your site with that feeling and your own words. Both make the phone version for you.

Can I make an elegant site with Big Cat?

Yes. Paste an elegant site you love, and Big Cat makes yours with that feeling, without copying its words, photos or logo.
